Alfred Griffioen has a background as marketeer and business developer. After a period as manager at a strategy consultant he founded Alliance experts and expanded the partner network of Alliance experts worldwide. Since 2024 he is the editor of the Exporteers International Trade Journal.
Alfred is the author of several books on strategic management, including his latest book Creating Profit Through Alliances, and a renowned lecturer. He has a strong focus on the financial aspects of international business and sees collaboration with local partners as an important way to reduce risks and to increase profits.
He advises companies around the world on how to grow their business internationally, with a focus on global marketing, distribution partnerships and finance. In his advice Alfred is straightforward, honest and creative.

Alfred started Alliance experts in 2010 in the Netherlands, and engaged in 2011 with the first consultants in Singapore and later Hong Kong. From there the network has grown to people in over 30 countries.
Since that time Alliance experts has supported hundreds of clients with their market entry strategy, finding the right distributors or other sales channels or finding suitable suppliers abroad.
As founder and managing director, Alfred has overseen all project execution, working with clients and consultants in dozens of countries, and was responsible for marketing and product innovation.
In 2024, following his passion, which is more marketing and partnership development than managing a broad network, Alfred has converted the well-visited Alliance experts website into the Exporteers website with over 400 articles and a strong focus on finance.
Clients can now do business directly with a selection of the individual advisors that Alfred worked with throughout the years. Alfred will focus on gathering and creating valuable content and advising individual clients.
